Democritus was an ancient Greek philosopher also known as "The Father of Science" because of his concept and theory that everything was made up of tiny discrete particles in which he called "atoms" after the Greek word "atomos" which means uncutable. This theory was composed as far back as around 400 BCE. He also discovered that these atoms are particles that are surrounded by empty and that are always randomly moving in a constant motion. He also theorized that the material that atoms were made of were specific to which how they were composed, meaning that their size, weight and shape differed depending on the properties of the atomic structure.
